Hospice care is provided to those with terminal illnesses who typically have less than six months' life expectancy.

The Medtreon link with hospice care will provide a telecommunications link that will connect a dying patient at home with a physician in their office. This will prevent the otherwise painful and difficult trip to the physician's office for follow up treatment of simple medical problems as well as pain management.

Medtreon's unique service will also provide more immediate assistance to those in need. With the aid of Medtreon's computer-based equipment, the patient may contact their physician or one of Medtreon's physicians 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
